    Thursday, October 24

    Join us at the historic West Theater for an evening social and live radio show. Fitz Cahall, creator of the influential podcast The Dirtbag Diaries, will moderate and record outdoor stories from regional icons. Optional daytime trainings will also be available. More information to come.

    Friday, October 25
    Full day Summit hosted @ the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) at 350 Harbor Drive in Duluth.

    Saturday, October 26
    Activities and field trips led by local outdoor recreation non-profits, organizations, and retailers, allowing attendees to explore and experience all Duluth has to offer.

  • Where


    In 2023, we sold out. So this year we are doubling capacity and look forward to heading to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) in Duluth, Minnesota. The event center has a beautiful view overlooking Lake Superior, the Aerial Lift Bridge, and landmarks of Canal Park.

    Our partner hotel, Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth - Downtown, is a short 7-minute walk from the event center, all connected by a climate controlled skywalk system.

    The Great Lakes Outdoor Summit welcomes outdoor recreation advocates, enthusiasts, businesses, and adventurers from throughout the Midwest to network and learn from each other in a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment.

    This includes regional non-profits, land managers, outdoor recreation retailers, community members and more!

    This year’s Summit includes keynote speakers from outdoor recreation industry leaders, networking opportunities, and 12 informational sessions.

    Do you have an inspiring outdoor recreation story, project or case study that needs to be shared?

    The Great Lakes Outdoor Summit Planning Committee is requesting presentation proposals from outdoor recreation community leaders from throughout the Midwest.

    Proposals are due by May 15, 2024.

    Now acceptings event sponsors! As a sponsor, your brand will be seen by land managers, agencies, retail businesses, nonprofits, and community members through social media and direct email. At the conference you will have access to 400+ attendees, 25+ speakers, and multiple channels of outreach.

    Are you a local outdoor recreation non-profit, organization, or business interested in providing a Summit inspired adventure?

    Help attendees enjoy all Duluth has to offer by providing an engaging field trip, activity, or social to accompany the Summit on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

    We welcome businesses, non-profits, and other organizations to share their mission, outdoor recreation products, and expertise with hundreds of regional outdoor enthusiasts and advocates!
