2024 Great Lakes Outdoor Summit

OCTOBER 24-26, 2024 | Duluth, Minnesota

The Great Lakes Outdoor Summit welcomes hundreds of outdoor recreation advocates, enthusiasts, and businesses from across the region to help build new collaborative partnerships.

Curated by the Duluth Area Outdoor Alliance (DAOA), this year’s Summit will include three days of learning, networking, and adventuring in the beautiful city of Duluth, Minnesota. With 12 sessions led by outdoor recreation professionals, a special live podcast recording, happy hour socials, CPR + Leave No Trace trainings, and field trips, there is something for everyone!

    Walk away from the summit with tangible new (or renewed) skills. Join us for a hybrid Adult + Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate training. Space is limited + registration necessary.

  • The Dirtbag Diaries Podcast Live Recording


    Thursday, October 24
    5-8 p.m. West Theatre

    Fitz Cahall, creator of the influential podcast The Dirtbag Diaries, will moderate and record outdoor stories from national icons.

    We’ll kick the evening off with a social and end with live music.

  • Summit Sessions + Keynote


    Friday, October 25
    DECC Harbor Side Convention Center

    400 attendees will enjoy keynote speaker Connor Ryan, 12 sessions, and ample networking opportunities with over 40 outdoor recreation organizations from 9-5 p.m. at the DECC, followed by a happy hour social 5-6 p.m.

  • Summit Inspired Adventures + Field Trips


    Saturday, October 25
    All day, various locations

    Organization led field trips and outdoor recreation activities planned by area non-profits and businesses.
